You will stay in Kathy’s lovely Victorian home with a sunny garden and panoramic views of the city of Bath. The house is situated in a quiet, residential street, only a 15-20 minute walk from the city centre and the main tourist attractions. Kathy shares the house with her lodger, Fiona, a friendly 29 year old engineer. There is no smoking inside the house and there are no pets. Free on-street car parking outside the house is available.
Kathy will make sure you feel at home straight away and ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. As well as your lessons, you will practise your English in real-life situations, in a friendly home environment. You will meet Kathy’s friends and family and be invited to join in with social activities.
Your homestay includes:
- Full board with nutritious home–cooked meals (including special diets e.g. food allergies, vegetarian)
- Private, sunny, double room with fabulous views of Bath
- Private bathroom (cleaned daily) with toilet, bath and modern shower
- Wifi and private study area
Bring a friend or family member
Two additional double bedrooms are available (one is ensuite) to accommodate a small group/family (maximum 6).
You will start the day with a delicious breakfast. This is usually freshly squeezed juices or fresh fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt, toast and jam, served with tea or freshly ground coffee. If you like a cooked breakfast, there is a choice of porridge, eggs (boiled, fried or scrambled), or a full English breakfast. There is always a coffee break mid-morning.
A simple light lunch is served at midday, for example homemade soup with bread and cheese or a pasta dish and salad. At about 4pm you will be offered a typical English Afternoon Tea of homemade cakes and scones with jam, served with a pot of tea.
Dinner is served between 7.30 and 8pm. There will be a starter, followed by a main course (vegetarian, fish or meat) with seasonal vegetables, always followed by a scrumptious dessert.
Tea, coffee and fresh fruit are available at any time of day.
